The campground doesn't open until April but don’t worry about reservations before that time since there are plenty of sites set aside for us. 

I have not made a reservation for the ferry yet but will soon.

That week is between a Canadian holiday Victoria Day and Memorial Day so the ferry can get busy. 

I will probably take the BC ferry between Swartz Bay near Sydney to Vancouver BC (Tsawwassen)  one direction.   

You can also take the Black Ball ferry from Port Angeles WA to Victoria.

The Vancouver Island Roadtrek Community Facebook page is a good place to ask questions of the locals and organizers of the event Barb and Michelle.
